Women's Retreat - Deepening Trust in Ourselves - Holy Wisdom Monastery, Middleton, WI

Mindfulness is intended to train our mind to become our friend instead of our enemy. Cultivating this freeing relationship with our self requires learning to connect with our authentic experience just as it is, and learning to stay on our own side, no matter what, with compassion and wisdom. Practicing in noble silence, we’ll deepen our ability to remain steady with ourselves through thick and thin.

We will alternate between sitting and walking meditation (optional yoga with Cecily Frederick, R.Y.T.), and guided Loving Kindness Meditation.  There will be daily meditation instructions, small group check-ins, and evening dharma talks.  Held at the beautiful Holy Wisdom Monastery, the retreat center is primarily non-residential, but does offer a limited number of residential rooms, available on a first come basis.

Fee: $180 non-residential base cost (includes vegetarian lunches and suppers). Single rooms are $150, and double rooms are $90 (for both nights), and include continental breakfast.

Dates: Begins 10 am Friday December 14, ends 12 noon Sunday December 16.

Register: Register by November 14. Cancellations received by November 14 will be refunded, less a non-refundable $60 fee.  Refunds after November 14 will be given only if someone fills your place.

If you would prefer to register and pay by mail, please download, print, and mail the registration form.

Note: No more single or double rooms are available.
