A meditation retreat is a wonderful experience that deepens connection with our self, our understanding of mindfulness, our commitment to practice, and can be healing and transformational. We practice sustaining mindful awareness by alternating between sitting meditation, walking meditation (optional yoga), and eating mindfully, all in Noble Silence. By cultivating our ability to mindfully connect with our authentic experience, we learn to stay on our own side and train our mind to be our stable ally instead of our tormentor. The more we can connect with our inner stability, kind hearts and the wisdom of our true nature, the more everyone benefits. These retreats are appropriate for all levels of experience with mindfulness.

We are excited to announce that our annual in-person women’s retreat will again be held at the beautiful Holy Wisdom Monastery! It will be so wonderful to gather and share our womanly wisdom and energy with each other.
The theme this year will focus on “Anger, Love, and Women’s Power”
As we practice together in Noble Silence, we will deepen our understanding of mindfulness through sitting meditation, mindful movement (walking meditation or yoga), guided Loving Kindness and Compassion meditations, and evening Dharma talks.
The retreat will begin at 10:00 am Friday Dec 8th and end at 12:00 pm Sunday Dec. 10th.
Formal practice will end each evening at 9:00 pm.
This retreat is appropriate for all levels of experience, and optional small group check-ins will provide a space for questions and support.
This retreat is primarily non-residential, and limited number of residential rooms are available at the Monastery on a first-come basis, and several nearby hotels offer alternative options.
Registration includes vegetarian lunches and dinners for everyone on Friday and Saturday.
Continental breakfast is provided daily for Monastery residents.
Given the upswing of Covid infections again this Fall, attendance will require this protocol:
You must be COVID vaccinated, boosted, not recently exposed to the virus, have no COVID symptoms, and be willing to wear a mask if required.
