A retreat is a wonderful experience that deepens connection with ourselves, our understanding of mindfulness, our commitment to practice, and can be healing and transformational. We practice sustaining mindful awareness by alternating between sitting meditation, walking meditation (optional yoga), and eating mindfully, all in Noble Silence. By cultivating our ability to mindfully connect with our authentic experience, we learn to stay on our own side and train our mind to be our stable ally instead of our tormentor. The more we can connect with our inner stability, kind hearts and the wisdom of our true nature, the more everyone benefits. These retreats are appropriate for all levels of experience with mindfulness.
